The 2017 Diaspora Day/Conference will hold 25th-26th July, 2017 in Abuja. Registration starts on Monday 15th May, 2017 and Closes Saturday 11th June, 2017
As you may know, the 2016 Diaspora Day/Conference, which took place at the International Conference Centre Abuja on 25th June 2016, was adjudged to be a huge success by participants and stakeholders. The impressive attendance by the Diaspora from the various continents of the world, added colour to the Annual Event.
2. Indeed, the Conference provided another platform for Nigerians in the Diaspora and their professional colleagues at home to interact and proffer solutions to some of the challenges militating against the progress and development of our country. In addition, some members of the Diaspora demonstrated uncommon commitment and patriotism through medical, humanitarian and training interventions during the Conference.
3. As preparations for the 2017 Diaspora Day/Conference have commenced, the office wishes to request for inputs and suggestions from the leadership and members of the Diaspora across the globe on how best to improve the event. The inputs from the Diaspora based on their experiences abroad will no doubt enrich the content of the final programme. You are therefore, enjoined to forward all inputs, suggestions or opinion between now and 7th June 2017, to the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation—Nigeria National Volunteer Service (NNVS), vide firstname.lastname@example.org.
